How are Hands Ranked in Online Poker?

(ranked from highest to lowest)
  1. Royal Flush Ace: king, queen, jack and 10 all of the same suit. All royal flushes of all the four suits are ranked the same.

  3. Four of a kind: 4 cards of the same rank.
  4. Full house: 3 cards of one rank and two cards of another rank.
  5. Flush: any 5 same suit cards.
  6. Straight: any 5 five cards in sequence
  7. Three of a kind: 3 cards of same rank
  8. Two pair: 2 cards of one rank and 2 cards of another similar rank
  9. One Pair: 2 cards the same rank
  10. High card: the highest card.
