Razz

Razz is a variation of stud poker that is usually played with two to eight players. This game is very similar to seven-card stud high, except for the high cards that are required to make the forced bet on the first round. In this game the best low hands wins.
The best possible hand in Razz is a wheel, a 5-4-3-2-A.

Rules of the game

The game starts with the ante. Each player has to put an ante that is approximately 1/5 of the low limit bet size.
After the players placed their initial bets the dealer deals the cards with one card showing. The player with the highest card must place the low limit bet size in the pot. This bet counts as the player's first round bet.
After that five rounds of betting begin. All the bets and raises in the game must be equal to either the low limit or the high limit bet size. In the first two rounds, the bets and the raises must be the same as the low limit and in the third, fourth and fifth, the bet limits must be the same as the high limit bet size.

The Winner

After the betting rounds all the players show their cards. This round is called 'The Showdown'. The player who bet last is the player who will show his hand first, and then the other players in a clockwise order.
Each of the players has the option to show his cards or to muck it. Sometimes players prefer to muck their hand if they see that they don't have any chance of winning and they don't want other players to see the hand that they played.
