Follow the Queen

Follow the queen is an interesting variation of stud poker. The rules are very much similar to the regular seven card stud, but with some differences.

Players

The game can be played by 3-7 players, although sometimes another player can join in too.

Initial Deal

Each player gets two face-down cards and another up face-up, just like in regular seven card stud.
The Game The game is played just like regular seven card stud except for the fact that all the queens in the game, are considered as wild cards. If a queen is dealt up, the next card is dealt up and all the other cards of the same rank become wild.
If another card is dealt up, the next up card replaces the pervious wild card as the new wild card. If a queen is the last dealt card, there is no wild card. If no queen is dealt up, the hands are mucked and dealt again, only to players who didn't fold in the previous round.
The winner is the player with the highest hand.

Variations

There are few variations to follow the queen. You can decide that the queens are not wild. You can decide that all cards after a queen are wild. You can also add jokers or decide that jokers will have the effect of a queen for determining the next wild cards.
